2. Open Your Story

Navigate to your story to begin editing.

3. Utilize the Snowflake Method

The Snowflake Method guides you from your initial idea to a structured plot. In the online help section for the Snowflake Method, you'll find detailed instructions on how to use it effectively. Work through the steps to uncover the story within your idea.

4. Character Development

The Snowflake Method will lead you to the 'Character Development' area (menu item: Characters). Here, you'll find various tools to craft plausible and intriguing characters. Use these tools to flesh out your protagonists and antagonists.

5. Select a Plot Structure

Scenes and plot structure are crucial elements in this program. Without a structure, most tools lose their effectiveness. Choose a plot structure that fits your project and integrate it accordingly.

Adjust the Plot Structure as Needed

New plot points can be created, and existing ones can be modified or deleted. Further information about this can be found in the online documentation on the 'MY STORY' page.

6. Creating/Editing Scenes for Plotting (Menu: MY STORY)

The actual plotting starts now. Create a new scene by clicking on a plot point name in the tree view. Open a scene for editing by clicking on its name.

Plan your story scene by scene; the structure will guide you. At the top of the scene editing interface, you can view the current plot point at any time.

Capture Ideas Anytime (Click on the 'i' Symbol at the Top Right)

Capture ideas whenever inspiration strikes. Assign your ideas to relevant characters, settings, scenes, or plot points, and they will become visible when you work on the corresponding element.

Create Additional Characters and Locations (Menu: Building Blocks)

Characters and locations must be created before they can be included in scenes.

Create Storylines (Menu: Building Blocks)

Storylines are displayed in both the timeline and the story grid.

Plan Storylines in the Story Grid (Menu: Story Grid)
