Generate output files

In the StoryWriterTool, you have the ability to create various documents for further processing in writing programs such as Microsoft Word, Papyrus Author, or Apple Pages.

Types of Output Files You Can Generate:

  • The complete scene plan.
  • Exposé (from Scenes2Exposé).
  • All characters.
  • All ideas.
  • Texts from the Snowflake Method.

File Format

The software generates RTF (Rich Text Format) files. These files can be easily opened with software like Apple Pages and saved in different formats, such as DOC files.

Opening the Output File in Writing Software

To open an output file in your chosen software:

  1. Click on the output file to bring up the share dialog.
  2. Share the file with the software you intend to use for opening it.
  3. Alternatively, you can select 'Save' to store the file in your file system, in a designated folder.

Which File is Best Suited for Further Work in Writing Software?

The scene plan is specifically designed to bridge the gap between story planning and actual writing. It is recommended to start with the scene plan in your writing software, and then formulate your texts directly in the software.
