Family Trees

and Family Building Blocks

The Family Tree tool allows you to create detailed family trees. To begin, you must first create a family.

Family trees are comprised of Family Building Blocks, which can be populated with character figures and structured in a hierarchical manner.

Creating a New Family

To create a new family, use the '+' sign in the top navigation bar.

Deleting a Family

To delete a family, swipe left on the family name.

Creating a New Family Building Block

To create a new Family Building Block, click the '+' sign in the Family Tree view. The new block will automatically be added below the topmost block.

Editing Family Building Blocks (Adding/Removing Figures)

To add or remove figures from a Family Building Block, click on the block you wish to edit. Use the editor that opens to make your changes.

Deleting a Family Building Block

Family Building Blocks can only be deleted if they have no subordinate blocks. To delete a block, click on it to open the editor, and then find the delete button below.

Moving a Family Building Block

To move a Family Building Block, click on it and use the 'Child of' editing option in the first line to specify its new parent block.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to delete or change the 'Child of' value for a Family Building Block, ensure that there are no blocks subordinate to it.
